Safe Tackling:

Player safety is something that is taken very seriously for BAYAA. All of our coaches are required to be trained and certified in USA Football’s Youth Tackling & Contact System. The health and safety of our players is our top priority.

Our philosophy is SAFE Tackling. Being able to safely and effectively tackle is the most critical defensive skill in football. Developed by the Seattle Seahawks, the Shoulder Tackling System is taught in-order to equip defenders with a plan and the fundamentals necessary to stop the ball-carrier. This system gives our athletes progressive frameworks that develop the tackle itself, the tackling defender and team defense.

At BAYAA, to practice this technique we utilize Tackle Tube technology. This helps to promote proper body position, the ability to track and tackle in motion and from any angle, improve technique and timing, and increases agility.
